People living in the Ringwood and St Ives areas are being asked to close windows and doors due to smoke.
In a statement, fire crews said: "Our firefighters are working alongside Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue crews in tackling a fire at a waste recycling site on Alderholt Road in Somerley.
"This is causing a lot of smoke which is heading towards the Ringwood and St Ives areas, so residents are asked to close windows and doors."
