Fire at cafe on Custom House Quay in Weymouth

Crews from Weymouth and Portland were called out

Firefighters from Weymouth and Portland were called to Custom House Quay last night, to tackle a fire in a café on the harbour.

The blaze was inside Custom House Café had started in a laundry area.

Smoke was cleared from the premises and no one was injured.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"Six breathing apparatus wearers extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and two main lines.

"Tactical ventilation was used to clear smoke from the property."
