Three fire crews were called to tackle a blaze at a quarry on Portland yesterday afternoon.

The fire involved a 30 ton piece of machinery called a screener.

It took around an hour to put the fire out.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service said it looks as though the fire started accidentally in the machine's engine bay.

There are no reports of any injuries.
