Police investigating series of fights at Bournemouth boxing event

Officers say there were a number of disorder incidents at the Vitality Stadium

Police are investigating a series of fights that broke our during a boxing event in Bournemouth.

They happened on the evening of Saturday 27th May at the Vitality Stadium in Kings Park.

One man in his 30's needed hospital treatment for an injury to his ear in one of the numerous incidents reported.

15,000 people attended the event in total.

Dorset Police is now urging anyone with mobile phone footage to get in touch.

Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of BCP CID, said:

“We are aware that numerous incidents of disorder occurred during this event, some of which may have not been reported to police.

“The Force does not tolerate violence and detectives are carrying out enquiries to try and identify those involved.

“There were a large number of people present (at this event) and I would urge anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on mobile phone footage from within the stadium to please come forward.

“Also, I am appealing to anyone who attended the event and has any information to assist our investigation to please contact Dorset Police.”
