Fencing and bollards damaged in Portland crash

Police are looking to gather any dash cam of CCTV footage

A car has crashed into fencing and bollards on Portland - with police now looking to find out what happened.

A silver Ford Fiesta collided with the barriers at Osprey Quay roundabout on Portland Beach Road at around 3.45am yesterday morning (Wednesday 6th July).

No-one was injured but the road had to be closed over 2 hours.

The collision caused significant damage to the barriers on the roundabout

PC Billy Taylor, of the Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicle involved prior to it.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant time who has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”

No other cars were involved in the collision and no-one was hurt
