A family in Dorchester who fear their dog has been stolen are making a plea for her return.

The 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier went missing from her home in Dorchester on Wednesday.

She is one of two dogs the family have to help Claire's son TJ who has Autism and ADHD.

Claire Trask-Mowlem is Willow's owner.

She told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"Charlie my son let Willow out to go to the loo as I was helping my son TJ who has ASD and ADHD get ready for school, take his meds and get him into the car.

I hadn't realised that Willow wasn't let back in the house although being a secure garden it shouldn't have mattered as I was only going out for a short time.

"Sometime between 8am and 8.40 Willow was taken from our secure back garden while I was out on school runs. I have had the garden checked twice to see if there is any way she could have got out herself and both people have said they see nowhere she could get out.

"At around 8.15 on Wednesday a neighbour who's back gate also goes into the back ally said her dogs were going mad in her garden barking at the gate.

"When I returned I went outside to hang the washing and feed the dogs and realised Willow wasn't there.

"Willow is one of 2 dogs we have who help my son when he is having a melt down or very stressed."

"We just want her home. If whoever has her is worried they're going to be in trouble please just put her back in the garden. We don't need to know who you are we just need our Willow back safe and home where she belongs."
