Fail to stop collision investigated in Dorchester

Police are keen to trace one of the drivers involved

Police are investigating a fail to stop collision in Dorchester.

Two cars were involved in a crash at the Stadium Roundabout at around 5.30pm on Thursday 26th October.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa and another vehicle were involved.

One of the drivers is reported to have shouted abuse before leaving the scene, in the direction of the Monkeys Jump roundabout, without leaving any details.

Police are keen to identify him.

The car is described as a dark-coloured estate with tinted windows and a partial registration number of YR61.

The male driver is described as white and of stocky build, with short hair and was wearing orange high-vis clothing.

PC Ramsay Inkster, of Dorset Police, said:

“Thankfully, the collision caused minor damage and nobody was injured.

“I am keen to identify the driver of the vehicle that failed to stop at the scene and would ask anyone with information to help my enquiries to please come forward.

“I understand this happened in a busy area and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
