An extension has been agreed for the Wincombe Business Park at Shaftesbury.

The new units, approved by Dorset Council, will be adjacent to units 1-3, and built on an existing car parking area.

Application papers from Shean and Hare Construction Ltd says the five units will be suitable for a range of uses including office space, research and development, light or general industrial, or storage and distribution.

Each is proposed to be just under 400square metres and will be similar in design to other units nearby.

Shaftesbury town council had supported the application saying it is a good use for the site and will have a positive impact on the local economy.

Application papers say the 12 parking spaces have not been used for a number of years and are no longer required. Five new cycle spaces will be created as part of the development.
