Enough is Enough protest to take place in Weymouth
It's in response to the government's handling of the cost-of-living crisis
Protests are happening all across the country today in response to the government's handling of the cost-of-living crisis.
Weymouth is one of 50 locations where this 'Enough is Enough' day of action is taking place across the UK as it's hoped the government listens to what campaigners have to say.
Dorset Trade Union Council is getting involved in the protest and is hoping it'll attract a big turnout.
"We are angry with the government over taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich basically," Jenny Lennon Wood from the organisation said.
"We are looking for cuts to the energy costs, real pay rises and no cuts to benefits.
"We're hoping for lots of people to turn out so if you're struggling to get by, or if your wages aren't covering your bills, if you're fed up of working harder for less and worried about the future come and join us.
"We're not going to win this unless we let people, let the government know that lots of people are really angry about it, that we're not having it and enough is enough."
Enough is Enough protests are happening across major cities including London, Manchester and Birmingham, but they're also expected to take place across various town and villages throughout the UK.
