We Are Weymouth are launching their Christmas extravaganza with a light illumination, elf workshops, live entertainment, and an Elf World Record Attempt.

The festive season in Weymouth starts on the 27th November, marking the beginning of the festive season with an Elf World Record Attempt to coincide with the town council’s Christmas Light Illuminations.

All ages are being encouraged to take part in their Elf workshops and activities throughout the town from 10am on Saturday 27th November, before the Christmas lights switch-on at 4pm.

There will be a family elf trail at the Palm House Cafe, attend a one-time-only screening of Elf the movie at Cineworld and children are invited to our elf workshops across the town to make elf hats.

ELF WORLD RECORD

For the lights switch on they want you to join them as one of 2,000 ‘elves’ in the Town Centre to try to beat the world record - don your best elf hats and costumes and help them put Weymouth on the Christmas map.

Dawn Rondeau, We Are Weymouth (BID) Manager comments: “Christmas in Weymouth is such a special time, we really wanted to mark the start of the season with some great festivities.

"As well as the lights illumination, Elf Post Office, and live entertainment, we’re so excited to invite as many locals and visitors as possible to join us in donning an elf hat (or costume!) and helping us to break the Elf World Record!

"Our aim is to celebrate Weymouth, celebrate the festive season, and of course encourage visitors to make the most of all our town has to offer.”
