Elderly man robbed in broad daylight in Poole
A leather pouch was stolen, with the victim's bank card used in shops
An elderly man's been robbed in Poole, with thieves using his back card fraudulently in local shops.
The victim, in his 70s, was attacked in Lindsay Road, near the junction with Wilderton Road, at around 3.00pm on Sunday (17th March).
He had a black leather pouch stolen, which contained his bank card.
That was then used to carry out a number of transactions in local stores afterwards.
The victim wasn't seriously hurt.
An offender is described as:
- Riding a bike
- White
- Aged in his 20s
- Well built
- Blonde hair
- Wearing a white T-shirt
- Light blue jeans
PC Alex Parsons, of Dorset Police, said:
“We are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man responsible for this robbery and I would like to hear from any witnesses who were in the area and may have seen what happened.
“I would also urge motorists who were driving in the area and have dashcam fitted, as well as residents in the vicinity with home CCTV systems, to please review their footage from around the time of the incident to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
