Weymouth Police have been following up on community intelligence in searching a local address for suspected drug activity this week (Wednesday 26th January).

Officers had been to the same property a week before and were carrying out additional enquiries.

The occupant was initially arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.

After searching the property, officers found a 'large quantity of cash' and suspected Class A drugs, which were seized.

That led to the occupant being further arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.

They've been released under investigation while investigations are ongoing.

More follow up visits will be also be carried out at the address by police.
