Drug dealer jailed for four years

A drug dealer has been jailed for four years after he was stopped by officers in the street and found in possession of cocaine and heroin.

45 year-old Rico Walker of no fixed abode, was stopped by officers as he left his address in Sea Road on Thursday 23 February 2023.

A subsequent search of his property also led to more drugs being found, with crack cocaine and heroin with a total estimated value of more than £15,000 recovered in total.

Sergeant David Carmichael, of Bournemouth police, said: “We know from engagement with our communities that the supply of illegal drugs and related activity can have a significant detrimental impact.

“We are committed to acting on information we received and bringing those involved in the supply of drugs to justice.
