Driver escapes injury after car flips on its side near Bridport

A driver's escaped uninjured after their car overturned during an accident near Bridport.

The crash happened yesterday on Pymore Road. (11 March)

The vehicle hit a bank and flipped on its side before colliding with a tractor.

The driver managed to get out by himself.

Two fire engines from Bridport attended as well as Dorset Police.

A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said:

"As a rule of thumb, drive at a speed where you can safely stop within the distance you can see. In narrow country lanes you should drive at a speed in which you can stop within half the distance you can see.

"Also take into account weather and road conditions."
