Driver sought following fail-to-stop crash near Shillingstone

A black hatchback collided with a VW Passat and didn't stop

There's an appeal to trace a driver following a fail-to-stop crash on the A357 near Shillingstone.

Police say the collision happened at around 8.30am on Wednesday 4th December, between Sturminster Newton and Shillingstone.

A black hatchback, possibly a Ford Fiesta, collided with a blue VW Passat, close to the turning for Child Okeford.

The driver of the hatchback didn't stop at the scene.

PC Charlotte Fowler, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.

“I would also urge anyone with a dashcam who was driving in the vicinity on the morning of Wednesday 4th December to please check any footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the motorist involved in this collision to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
