Christchurch-born Emma Wilson is bidding to become Great Britain's first Olympic windsurfing champion.

Her medal race was due to take place yesterday afternoon but had to be postponed twice due to a lack of wind in Marseille.

The-25-year-old has blown away the competition this week, winning eight out of 14 qualification races.

Due to a new format introduced for the Paris Olympics, topping the leader board meant she was sent straight into the final. That guarantees her at least a bronze medal in this afternoon's final, matching her bronze in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

With the race being postponed, Wilson will have to psych herself up all over again as she aims to improve on her bronze medal from Tokyo 2020

You can watch the event at 12:30pm GMT time.
