North Dorset break-in leaves victims distressed

They're concerned the Sturminster Newton property will be targeted again

Dorset police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that took place in North Dorset.

Between 11pm on Thursday 11th November and 5.30am on Friday 12th November 2021 entry was gained to a property in Filbridge Rise in Sturminster Newton and a search of the premises was conducted.

The victim believes the offenders were looking for the keys to their car, but they were not taken and nothing else was stolen.

Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of North Dorset police, said: “This incident has understandably caused distress to the victims and they are concerned they will be targeted again.

“We have launched a full investigation to identify those involved and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist my enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night in question, or who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam or home CCTV footage, to please contact us.”
