Is the Dorset Police website down? No, you might still be able to access it by the press of a button on your mobile.

Dorset Police say technical difficulties are preventing some people from reporting crime online.

Large parts of their website have experienced technical difficulties since the weekend, preventing broadband users from getting in.

The force say if that's you, turn off your phone's wifi and try accessing the website with your mobile data.

The website is one of the primary methods Dorset Police asks people to report crime if there's no emergency.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"We are still working on some technical issues with the Dorset Police website. The Dorset Road Safe website is also experiencing issues. The sites are currently running, however if you are experiencing difficulties accessing them on a broadband connection, please try it on a mobile signal if you are able to.

"If this is not an option for you and you need non-emergency contact, please email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk.

"If you have an emergency, dial 999.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we are working to get the sites available as soon as possible."
