Dorset Police are investigating a public order incident in Weymouth after a woman has been left shaken after being shouted at in the town.
The incident happened at around 8.05am on Tuesday 25th May 2021 at the recreation ground on Telford Close.
A woman, aged in her 20s, was in the park with her three dogs. As there were no other dogs present at the time, she let them off their leash.
When a man with a small Shih Tzu type dog entered the park, the three dogs ran over before the woman could take control of them. This caused the man to kick out at the three dogs before going over to the woman, getting very close and shouting at her to keep her dogs under control. He then left walking along Maunsell Avenue in the direction of Brunel Drive.
The male dog walker is described as white, aged in his 50s, approximately five feet four inches tall and of stocky build, with cropped dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark Puffa-style jacket.
Police Constable Toby Norman, of Weymouth police, said: "The female dog walker was very shaken by the reaction of the man and I need to establish what exactly happened.
"I believe that there was another member of the public in the park, who was jogging around the boundary at the time and I am appealing for that person to come forward to help with my enquiries.
"Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man from the description given."
