Next of kin appeal after death of 77-year-old man on Portland

His death is not being treated as suspicious

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the next of kin of a man who died on Portland.

John Michael Cable, who was 77 years old and lived in Verne Common Road, died at his home on Wednesday 21st July 2021.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s officer Tracey Jeans said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious, however we have not been able to locate his next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 123900.”
