Dorset Police appeal over A354 motorcyclist crash

Dorset Police are investigating a crash that happened in Weymouth and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Sunday 2nd May 2021 near to the Jurassic Roundabout on the A354.

It involved a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was reportedly taking evasive to action to avoid a collision with a grey Ford Mondeo as both vehicles travelled north toward Dorchester.

There was no direct contact between the two vehicles. The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, came off his bike and suffered an injury to his wrist.

The Ford driver reportedly pulled over a short distance up the road but subsequently left the scene prior to police arriving.

Police Constable Charlie Frost, of Weymouth police, said: "We have identified the car involved in this incident and are making enquiries to speak to the driver.

"I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please contact us."
