Police appeal after suspected arson incident in Weymouth
Dorset police are appealing for witnesses after a reported suspicious fire in a shed in Weymouth.
The incident occured yesterday after 3pm, it is alleged that a shed was set on fire in Farwell Crescent.
A 45-year-old man from Weymouth was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, said: “Thankfully nobody was injured, but significant damage was caused to the shed and contents inside it.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please contact Dorset Police.”
