UPDATE: Dorset Council's Facebook page restored
The authority's been working to find out why it was taken down without warning

Dorset Council's Facebook page is back up and running - a week after it disappeared without warning or explanation.
It had been missing since Thursday last week (15th June).
In a statement they've said:
"We’re very pleased to announce that the Dorset Council UK Facebook page is back up and running.
"Meta has reviewed the problem and determined that the page shouldn’t have been taken down. They have restored everything as it was and apologised for any inconvenience caused."
The authority is still contactable by phone on 01305 221000, via their website and through other social media platforms.
