Hospitalisations increase as Covid-19 case rise in Dorset
14 people are in hospital with virus

More people are in hospital with Coronavirus in Dorset this week as nationally infections rise to their highest in five months.
There has been an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the county this week, according to Public Health Dorset.
It remains that Dorset Council's case rate is lower then the South West and England average at 96.4.
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole's case rate is higher than the South West's but below the national at 236.8.
HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS
14 people are in hospital receiving treatment for Covid-19 this week.
Even though that number has risen sharply it remains lower than what Public Health Dorset were expecting, based on previous waves.
It shows the vaccination programme is having an impact on the number of people becoming seriously unwell.

BCP: 936 (Compared to 584 on July 2nd)
Dorset: 365 (Compared with 252 on July 2nd)
STICK TO THE RULES
The government has set out plans for Step 4 of the roadmap and the lifting of remaining restrictions.
The final decision on whether this will go ahead on 19th July will be made by the government on Monday 12th July.
For now, follow the existing rules like the rule of six indoors and wearing a face covering in indoor settings.
