Dorset braced for heavy rain

Met office issues a Yellow Weather Warning

The Met Office have issued a Yellow weather warning for rain in Dorset.

That comes into force from 9pm tomorrow night (17 December) until the early hours of Saturday morning.

Spells of heavy rain are likely to cause problems including:

Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely

Flood alerts have already been issued for Weymouth Harbour, Preston Beach Road and West Bay this morning.
