A dog has been rescued after falling down a second flood chimney breast into a cellar of a house in Corfe Castle.

Firefighters from Poole were called to the property in West Street at around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"Crews created an opening into the chimney stack and were able to reach the dog who was left in the care of its owners."
