It's amid concerns about a surge in coronavirus cases, and fears another national lockdown could be implemented in England if a surge in cases can't be brought under control.

There's also been a rise in coronavirus cases in Dorset. in the week to 9th September there were 37 cases recorded in the Dorset Council area, compared with 9 the week before.

An early warning's being made by Sam Crowe, Director of Public Health for Dorset and BCP Councils.

He said:

“We are starting to see a gradual rise in cases and in some instances, people not adhering to the instructions to self-isolate.

“If you are showing symptoms, it’s vital that you self-isolate so that you can protect yourself, your family and friends.

“If you are contacted by the NHS Test and Trace service and are asked to self-isolate, this must be for the full 14 days even if you feel well or have a negative test result."

Public Health Dorset is launching a new campaign reminding us what we need to do.

'Do it for...' is asking everyone to think about family, friends, colleagues and front-line workers and asks us to do our bit to prevent further action being needed.
