Disabled driver verbally abused in Dorset car park

A disabled driver's been verbally abused in a Dorset car park.

The incident happened at Cobb Gate in Lyme Regis at around 6.30pm on Thursday 3 June.

Police have just released details.

The victim - who is disabled - drove into the car park behind another car, which parked in the only available disabled space.

The victim asked the driver of the car if they had a disability badge, but the male driver informed the victim he had no intention of moving. The male driver verbally abused the victim before he got into his car and left the car park.

Description

The man is described as of Mediterranean appearance, six feet five inches tall and had a full neck of tattoos and gold teeth. He was wearing a necklace.

Police Constable Michelle Yarrow, of Dorset Police, said:

"The victim found the man's behaviour to be extremely intimidating and we have been carrying out enquiries to identify him, but these have so far proved unsuccessful.

"I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man from the description given to please get in touch as we would like to speak to him and take his account of what happened.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information that may assist my enquiries to please contact Dorset Police."
