Dorchester's Brewery Square celebrates reopening

There's cause for celebration in Dorchester as non-essential shops open and outdoor hospitality resumes

Business will resume as usual in Dorset today as all shops and outdoor dining can go ahead for the first time since January.

Phase two of easing of lockdown measures begin as part of the Government's Roadmap out of Lockdown.

It will see the opening of non-essential retail, beauticians, and hairdressers, as well as libraries gyms and leisure centres.

RETAILERS AND RESTAURANTS OPENING TODAY

Retailers set to open their doors include: Jazqueline's Pre-Loved Boutique, Margo & Mya, Belle Modelle, Phase Eight, Dorchester art Gallery, Loco Love and Woods Furniture.

Outdoor dining will also be available at Cote Brasserie, Cote Brasseries, Vibes Café and Pizza Express.

Brewery Square is also creating additional outdoor dining areas for its array of food and drink outlets, including Luccio's, Nando's, Zizzi, Wagamama and Costa Coffee.

All re-opened businesses will join Moorland Express, Touts Pharmacy, F.I.T. T. Chiropractic, Copper Street Brewery, Morrish and Banham, Premier Inn, and the Atrium Health Centre, which have kept their doors open for services throughout lockdown.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE

Brewery Square will be operating with strict health and safety measures on site, to ensure the wellbeing of all shoppers, staff, and retailers.

Hand sanitising stations are available around the complex, with floor stickers in place where queuing is likely, and daily door handle cleaning. Brewery Square has also been offering support to businesses by providing health and safety guidelines, as well as additional 2 metre distancing floor stickers and PPE equipment.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, commented: "Our businesses have been working incredibly hard during lockdown to prepare for re-opening, with many also continuing to serve customers through online and phone order services.

"Everyone is excited to welcome customers back through their doors, and we're looking forward to bringing Brewery Square back to life again with our diverse selection of retailers and eateries."
