Cyclist seriously injured in fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth
A man in his 20s remains in hospital after the incident.
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bournemouth in which a man sustained serious injuries.
A report was received at 10.15pm on Friday of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle in Castle Lane West, near the Broadway Roundabout.
It was reported that the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
Emergency services attended and a male cyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious. His next of kin have been informed.
Sergeant Lee Savage, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident to identify the vehicle involved and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.
“Furthermore, I would like to urge anyone who is aware of any vehicles that have sustained damage around the relevant time period in unexplained circumstances to please report it to us.
