Cyclist, 18, seriously injured after collision involving a lorry in Poole
He has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital
A cyclist has been seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a lorry in Poole.
It happened yesterday afternoon as the 18 year old was riding his bike along St Osmunds Road, near to the junction with Kings Avenue.
The 18-year-old male cyclist was taken by air ambulance to Southampton Hospital for treatment to serious injuries. His family has been told.
Road closures were put in place as the emergency services responded to the incident and an examination of the scene was conducted.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage."
