A glass door at Bournemouth's Pavilion Theatre has been smashed, with police treating it as criminal damage.

The incident happened at around 4.30am on Monday (29th July), with a man seen on CCTV breaking a parasol from a stand and using it to damage the door.

He tried unsuccessfully to get into the venue.

Officers have now shared a CCTV image of a man they'd like to trace.

Police Community Support Investigator Jared Sharman, of Bournemouth police, said:

“A significant amount of damage was caused to the building, costing around £300 to repair.

“I am now issuing CCTV images of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.”
