Cow recovering after rescue from Dorset river by firefighters

Firefighters were called to Mill Lane, Fiddleford yesterday after receiving reports of a cow that was stuck in the water. Megan was rescued from the river and brought back to dry land.

She was checked over by a vet and is recovering from the ordeal which firefighters from Sturminster Newton, Blandford and the animal rescue team from Poole attended.

Technical rescue equipment was required to rescue Megan and crews remained at the scene from 8:50am to 12:37pm.
