There has been a sustained fall in Covid-19 case rates in Dorset, but the news comes with a warning.

Public Health Dorset say with fewer people testing, the numbers are unlikely to provide the complete picture.

The number of people in hospital with Covid-19 has fallen from 113 to 74.

On their website, Public Health Dorset are also urging people to still stay home, if they test positive.

They say:

"Although the legal requirement to self-isolate has now ended, the public health advice remains the same. We urge anyone who tests positive or has COVID symptoms to continue to stay at home and avoid contact with other people. This will help to protect other people who may be more vulnerable to the virus. Read the full guidance for people with COVID-19."
