Confirmed Covid-19 case rates are continuing to fall across Dorset.

However, Public Health Dorset say there has been an increase in the number of people being treated in hospitals for Covid-19.

According to the latest available figures that stood at 113 last week.

On their website Public Health Dorset say:

"Although the legal requirement to self-isolate has now ended, the public health advice remains the same. We urge anyone who tests positive or has COVID symptoms to continue to stay at home and avoid contact with other people. This will help to protect other people who may be more vulnerable to the virus."

Public Health Dorset have been giving weekly updates on their website of Covid-19 case rates in the county, but that looks set to change.

They say:

"Following recent national policy announcements and ahead of the removal of free universal testing from 1 April, we are reviewing how we share data on the local situation.

"The format and frequency of this weekly update may change in the coming weeks to ensure that the data shared remains relevant and useful for understanding the level of risk from COVID-19 locally."
