Dorset's continued to see an increase in confirmed cases of Covid-19 over the last week.

Case rates in the Dorset Council area are now above the regional average, but below the national average.

Public Health Dorset say case rates are highest amongst young people - particularly 11 to 16 year olds.

39 people are being treated for Covid-19 in Dorset hospitals.

Publishing their latest information Public Health Dorset said: "We'll continue to monitor the impact of case rates on hospital admissions. Sadly, we are continuing to see a small number of deaths each week due to COVID-19. The number of deaths remains relatively stable week on week, and at much lower levels to previous waves.

"We are still living with COVID-19 as we head into the winter months, so it's important to protect yourself and others. If you've not been vaccinated yet, it's not too late - you can attend a walk-in clinic or book your appointments online. We also encourage anyone who is eligible for a COVID booster jab or flu vaccine to take up the offer.

"Testing for COVID-19 remains key, and you can still get free lateral flow tests to check you're not infectious. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, you must self-isolate and book a PCR test."
