Corrosive substance used to damage paintwork in Lyme Regis

It is reported that in all incidents, a corrosive substance was used to damage the paintwork of a vehicle in Silver Street.

Police are appealing for information following a number of incidents of criminal damage in Lyme Regis.

The incidents occurred on Sunday 22 January between 2pm and 11pm, between 5pm on Wednesday 1 February and 7.30am on Thursday 2 February and at approximately 5.15pm on Saturday 4 February.

It is reported that in all incidents, a corrosive substance was used to damage the paintwork of a vehicle in Silver Street.

Police Constable Josh Hurwood, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate these incidents to identify who is responsible.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or have relevant dashcam or home CCTV footage to assist my enquiries, to please get in touch.”
