There's concern about lockdown fatigue in Dorset.

Dorset Police say they are dealing with hundreds of calls a week reporting breaches of the restrictions.

At the weekend, officers broke up a house party on Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth.

From this weekend, fines are being increased to £800 for those hosting a gathering of 15 people or more.

Chief Constable of Dorset Police James Vaughan said:

"Time and time again we find ourselves being called to house parties in Dorset.

"We went to one only this weekend where 19 people were given the old fines. From this weekend going forward they can expect those fines to quadruple.

Covid patrols are trying to deal with any problems.

Chief Constable Vaughan added:

"Three double crewed police cars, 7 days a week, are responding to hundreds of calls the public are giving us every week, telling us of things like house parties and breaches of Covid restrictions.

"We need to remain vigilant."
