A Remembrance display of poppies made from recycled materials has been put up at Weymouth's Nothe Fort.

This installation was put together by various community groups and school children but the display had to be scaled back due to high winds earlier in the week.

Jye Dixie from We Are Weymouth helped run the project and says the poppies were made from plastic bottles that were donated and collected.

He said: "We wanted to make something that was community led and re-useable. We plan on building on this art installation over the next couple of years.

"People have written names of family members on poppies. And next year we are going to have memory boxes alongside so people can really engage with the commemorative month."
