Yesterday afternoon Officers from the Weymouth and Portland policing teams located several individuals in the Park District that appeared to be involved in drug activity.

They searched a man for being in possession of suspected class A drugs.

He was then arrested for possession with intent to supply the class A drugs.

Subsequently an address in Weymouth was searched whereby a male, who is not local, was located and after further drugs found.

This second male was also arrested for being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

He was confirmed to be staying in a hotel in Weymouth so officers attended there for a further search of his room. Located hidden in the room were two packages suspected to contain a large amount of Class A drugs.

Both males remain in Custody and enquiries are being progressed. Although unconfirmed it is estimated that the street value of drugs seized yesterday to be in the region of £3500.

County Lines continue to operate in Weymouth and local areas, this is a reminder for local residents and businesses to #knowthesigns. Please report anything that appears strange or suspicious to the police.
