Dorset family devastated after child's Christmas presents stolen

Jewellery, cash and a CCTV hard drive were also taken during the break-in in Poole

Police say a young family in Dorset's been left devastated after their young child's Christmas presents were stolen from their home in Poole.

Dorset Police have now released details of the break-in that happened between 12am and 1am on Sunday 4 December 2022.

A number of items were stolen from the property in Verity Crescent area.

As well as children's Christmas presents these included jewellery, cash, and a CCTV hard drive.

Police Constable Ryan Malcolm, of Dorset Police, said: “The victims in this case have a young child and the family have been left devastated by this incident, which saw Christmas presents stolen as well as jewellery with a sentimental value.

“We are determined to explore all lines of enquiry available to us in order to identify those responsible for this burglary and I am appealing for anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please make contact with us.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Verity Crescent and Kellaway Road during the early hours of Sunday 4 December 2022.

“I would also urge residents in the area to check their CCTV systems or doorbell cameras for any footage that might help our investigation.”
