A child has suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Weymouth.
The accident happened outside Willowbed Hall in Putton Lane in Chickerell yesterday afternoon.
Dorset Police were called at 3.08pm.
Police officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
" The pedestrian, a child was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. Their injuries are described as serious."
The exact age of the child isn't yet known.
Dorset Police say no arrests have been made.
