Child, 7, pulled unconscious from sea at Durdle Door

A child has been rescued from the sea at Durdle Door.
The 7-year-old, who was unconscious, was pulled from the water yesterday.
They were airlifted to hospital after being treated at the scene by South Western Ambulance Service along with medics from Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter.
The rescue was part of a number of incidents at Durdle Door yesterday.
A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard said:
"After multiple incidents were reported at Durdle Door we were requested by Solent Coastguard to proceed and assist Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team. A female was suffering from high blood pressure and related issues on the beach at Durdle Door.
"Shortly after this was reported an unconscious 7-year-old had been recovered from the water.
"The 7-year-old was lifted direct to Dorchester A&E by the air ambulance.
"Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 after returning to base for fuel lifted the female from the beach to an awaiting ambulance at the top car park.
"A third casualty received assistance after collapsing on the steps leading up from Man O War Bay. She was also helped back to the top car park."
