CCTV: Man sought following Wimborne museum burglary

A screen projector's been taken from the Museum of East Dorset

Police in Wimborne are investigating a burglary at the Museum of East Dorset - and released a CCTV image.

A screen projector worth £500 was taken from the High Street venue, after a man entered the office area there.

It happened at around 3.45pm on Monday 4th December 2023, with the details now shared, along with a picture of a man officers are looking to trace.

Police Community Support Investigator Steven Willis, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this burglary and I am issuing CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.

“While I appreciate that you cannot see his face, I am hoping that someone may be able to identify him from his distinctive clothing.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please contact us.”
