CCTV: Two men sought after attempted tent theft from Poole shop
Police are keen to speak to the men pictured
CCTV images have been released by Dorset Police of two men police want to speak to following an attempted theft from a Poole store.
The incident happened back on Saturday 11th June, at around 7.00pm.
Two men went into the Decathlon store at Redlands, and picked up a tent worth £649, placing it at the end of an aisle.
They were then seen to remove the security tag, before leaving it on the floor and leaving the shop.
The pair returned an hour later - one of them tried to distract staff while the other went to get the tent.
But they got away empty handed after staff became aware of the situation.
Dorset Police investigating this incident also think the two men pictured could be linked to a series of other thefts in the Poole area, valued at more than £2,000.
PC Clifford Ryan, of Dorset Police, said:
“We are continuing to carry out enquiries into these incidents and I am issuing images of two men we would like to speak to as part of our investigation. I would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact us.”
