Police issue CCTV image of man after fraud incident in Blandford

It's claimed a man got a refund on items he didn't pay for

North Dorset Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify after a case of fraud at a shop in Blandford.

A man become aggressive towards a young member of staff at the Damory Garage on Salisbury Road.

At around 3.55pm on Sunday 21 August a man entered the shop and selected several higher value items from the shelves. He then approached a young staff member working at the till and began complaining about the quality of the produce.

He was reportedly aggressive toward them and confused them, resulting in them paying him a refund of £122 for goods he had not purchased.

The man then drove off from the garage in a black Audi A3 with the registration RE13 BYO.

Police Community Support Investigator Lindy Wilson, of North Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as well as a vehicle we are keen to trace as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information to please make contact with us.”
