CCTV: Image released in connection with Gillingham sexual assault

Dorset Police want to trace the man pictured

Police investigating a sexual assault incident in Gillingham have released a CCTV picture of someone they'd like to speak to.

An 18 year old woman was approached by two men, who had a grey Staffy-type dog with them, in Shaftesbury Road near to Park Villas, at around 5.35pm on Friday 4th February.

She alleges that one of the man engaged her in conversation while the other grabbed her hand, kissed it and put his arms around her, trying to kiss her on the lips.

The incident happened close to Park Villas on the Shaftesbury Road in Gillingham

The victim managed to push the man away.

PC Tina Stratford, of North Dorset police, said:

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident. As part of our investigation we have obtained an image of a man we would like to speak to.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please come forward.”
