A CCTV image has been released by police in Bournemouth, as they investigate a fraud by false representation incident.

The victim was scammed out of £1,200 over a number of days in February this year, by a man who persuaded them to take part in an alleged investment opportunity.

They never received any returns on the investment, and the man stopped responding to attempts to contact him.

PC Cameron Nairn, of Dorset Police, said:

“Our investigation into this matter remains ongoing as we explore all lines of enquiry to identify the man involved.

“We have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries and have made extensive attempts to establish his identity, however, these have so far been unsuccessful.

“I am now in a position to release his image to the public in the hope that someone might recognise him.”
