CCTV released from attempted burglary in Bournemouth

Police are looking to identify the man pictured

A CCTV image has been shared by police in Bournemouth, as they investigate an attempted burglary at an elderly woman's home.

The victim woke up at around 1.45am on Sunday (7th July) after hearing noises in the garden of her house on Walliscott Road.

She saw a man trying to gain entry through her bedroom window.

He didn't get in, but a man was spotted on CCTV at the front door of the house, before leaving the scene.

PC Lucy Craig, of Dorset Police, said:

“This was understandably a very distressing incident for the elderly victim, and we are carrying out various enquiries into this attempted burglary.

“I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation, and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
