CCTV Appeal: Man fills shopping trolley with booze and leaves without paying

Nearly £700 worth of alcohol was stolen from a supermarket in Dorset

Officers investigating the theft of alcohol from a shop in Wimborne are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect in a bid to identify him.

At around 11.15am on Friday 5 November 2021 a man entered Waitrose in Rowlands Hill and began to fill a shopping trolley with a selection of bottles of alcohol.

He then proceeded to leave the store without paying. The total cost of the alcohol stolen was £669.

Police Constable Clifford Ryan, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I have now obtained a CCTV image of the male suspect.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please get in touch with Dorset Police.”
